The first was called Stickies and still exists today. It worked, and it was kinda cute. This was back in the days before Jonathan Ive was in charge of Mac Now, this works for me and for that reason it is what I use on the Mac for keeping notes around for occasional reference. But it won’t suffice for everyone. Office for mac in the cloud. Download PhotoStickies for macOS 10.6.8 or later and enjoy it on your Mac. ‎PhotoStickies gives you unique access to your favorite pictures. Use PhotoStickies to put all your favorite pictures on your desktop in the form of floating (even borderless) stickies.

- Fixed: 'Help > Contact' didn't work. • 5.6.5 Feb 28, 2012. Kacey3, Could Be Better It used to be better, but it’s gotten really weird recently, despite no updates. First, I would love to see a “fits inside” feature where a slideshow is restricted to fit inside a specific pixel dimmension. Instead, every photo is displayed at the same scale so to view large photos, I have to scale them down, which means small photos are just postage stamps on the screen.

I’d rather set image size to a particular pixel square and all photos are scaled individually to fit that space. More recently, it seems like with each advance in the slideshow, the image moves slightly so where the photos are in the upper left corner of my screen in the morning, by evening they have drifted to the center of the screen. It’s quite annoying to have to continually move the slideshow back to it’s place in the corner. This app hasn’t been updated since 2014, so I suspect there will be no changes, but for being the “best” photo frame app on the App store, it could be so much better.
